Lustrous Early American Silver: 1795 Draped Bust Dollar MS65

As one of the earliest U.S. silver dollars to exist, very few examples exist in Mint State 65 condition. This 1795 Draped Bust Silver Dollar has a mintage of only 42,000 examples and is from the short-lived series featuring the small eagle on the reverse. Recently placed with a customer through our Private Advisory team, Jack McNamara explains why this early American coin is so rare to find in this stunning condition.
