In Dec every year FIIs always used to sell for decades. So nothing new. Yes their selling for continous last 3 months was a surprise, but our DII and robinhood investors keep buying and saved the mkt from falling drastically down.

In behavioural finance, market sentiment is measured by various parameters. One popular estimate of measuring market sentiment is 1st day returns of IPO. When there is huge subscription of IPO breaking all the previous records one can safely assume that market sentiment is very high. IPO is only one parameter and right now in Indian market all factors that positively correlate with market sentiment prove that it is historically high. It has been proved in academic literature that once market sentiment reaches historical high the stock market returns will be negative and we can safely assume that we have entered bear market...

This fact is realised by fiis and are withdrawing money like never before. However they r with drawing at slow rate so that market shall not collapse....our diis and mfs have not realized this and are further pumping money but the fact is no one can stop the inevitable !

By their relentless selling despite there being any major negative news clearly shows that FIIs are trying to send some message to our Indian government. Lagta hai..., that the fight is at a very high level which is beyond the capacity of retail traders/investors to fathom.

One suggestion: stop talking about stock/index in points, instead use percentage. Percentage makes more sense as not everyone knows CMP of stock/index you discuss.

See my previous day's comment. When Market is moving one way, it is very easy to analyze market. But, when market is changing direction every now and then, it seems it is very tough to analyze the market. But it seems and actually it is not.

Gap-down/flat opening and market goes past previous day high- buy, Gap-down and market goes to 17400, buy with a stop loss of 50 points. Market below 17400, expect market at 17000.
