Is Your Website GDPR Compliant
Показать описание
In this video, I show you How to Get Your Website GDPR Compliant using the Uber GDPR WordPress plugin. In a previous video I showed you how to install the GDPR compliance plugin. I’m sure by now you’ve heard about GDPR, which is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the European Union’s new Digital Privacy Regulation which became effective on May 25, 2018.
You may have also received a bunch of emails from companies with their updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Conditions. This new privacy regulation gives individuals in the European Union more control and flexibility on how their data is used and processed. GDPR applies to all companies and individuals, around the world, who collect and process personal data of EU residents.
GDPR applies to personal data that could be used to identify individuals like name, date and place of birth, IP address, identification number, etc. Is your website GDPR compliant? GDPR applies to both, companies and individuals. So, if you own a website through which you collect data on your visitors, using cookie identifiers or through sign up forms, GDPR most probably applies to you.
This GDPR plugin will help you become GDPR compliant by addressing the Key GDPR Requirements which include: (1) Consent to use personal data; (2) Privacy by Design; (3) Right to Data Access; (4) Right To Be Forgotten; (5) Data Portability; (6) Data Rectification; (7) Data Breach Notification. I have created a separate video that covers these GDPR Regulations in more detail (see link below).
Companies and individuals who are non-compliance with GDPR may be subject to huge penalties, up to 20 million Euros, or 4% of global annual turnover, whichever is the greater. To learn more about the GDPR WordPress plugin, check the link below. The Uber GDPR WordPress plugin is very reasonably-priced and you get the Developer’s license with it.
With this license, you can install the plugin on all your WordPress websites as well as on your client websites. The price will most probably be going up after the GDPR deadline which is May 25, 2018. Below you will also find GDPR videos to help you better understand this new EU digital privacy regulation.
