I'm concerned about our premiums for part D going up tremendously for those of us not on any drugs at all. If we don't buy a plan when we go on medicare then we will be permanenty penalized. Plans tgat were $.50 to $20 per month I'm scared are going to skyrocket.

Lawmakers change laws and don't seem to anticipate the consequences of their laws as they tell everyone the charges they make to make our lives so much better. How do they think their actions can control private companies. The insurance companies need to make a profit or they can't stay in business.

If I do get sick, I want the best drug available to me. When I get on a plan, with no need for any drug, I don't even know the name of a potential drug I may need in the future. So how will I even know which drugs to look for being offered in the formulary? Scary what is happening now after Congress got involved trying to fix problems people were having paying for drugs they needed. Now everyone is affected (I have another word I wanted to use but keeping it clean)

My part D sucks anyway!! About 70% of the time I use Good Rx or Costco. Sad that they are so much better than my insurance!!

So, I did some research, and I found out that I can opt out of plan B by sending back my Medicare card by July 1. I got it in the mail on June 21. Is the only way I'm going to find out, by my SS direct deposit being short by $174? Thank you for your channel.

I don't know who to call to determine if my part D coverage is the best for me. Seriously who do you call? I currently have WellCare, I don't know if I can do better? Again no one explains my options and no one gives recommendations. I live in Illinois too, south suburbs.

You need ominous music to intro your "Beware!" videos. Maybe steal a few seconds from one of the 1930s Universal monster movies. Anyway, I'm all for free enterprise, but the greed and underhanded lobbying methods of the pharmaceutical outfits does call for action. Sadly, without better options, that falls to government.

Your speaking voice starts out clearly at the beginning of your sentences..but melts away to a crackly vocal fry toward the end of your sentences. Your voice gets lower as you get farther into the sentences and crackle. I know you can speak clearly because you do it, then ....5:00 ...6:33...6:54

I need more information regarding Medicare Part A and B with a Med Supp Policy vs being on an Advantage Plan. If you've done a video on this will you let me know the name of the video.

As far as I know, Medicare is just Part A and B, which is hospital stays and doctor visits.

It appears if you want to add Plan C, D, or Medigap you have to go through an approved private provider like Blue Cross, Humana, or some other to get on an Advantage plan. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no expert.

Even with Medigap it appears you still get stuck with large bills and high deductibles, because Medigap doesn't kick in until you've spent a lot already. A slightly lower deductible on an Advantage plan makes your premiums really jump up there.

If you get an Advantage plan that gives you Plan C, D, and Medigap it looks like you'll end up paying more money out-of-pocket if you have a lot of medical issues. Looks like Medicare A & B with a Medicare Supplement plan might be better. And that is my question, which one is better? A Med Supp or Advantage Plan?

I know you can't get a Med Supp policy if you have an Advantage plan.
A Med Supp plan may be expensive, but it pays everything that is your out-of-pocket as long as Medicare pays their part. Meaning if it's a Medicare approved expense, the Supp policy will pay the difference after what Medicare pays. It seems like you wouldn't have any left over bills with a Med Supp plan vs. an Advantage plan that you'd still have to pay your 20% or higher on top of your deductibles. And 20% (or more) of a hospital stay or surgery could be a big amount.

I just wondered if you've discussed a Med Supp vs Advantage plan regarding what expenses you might be stuck with. Thanks.
