0:44 and THAT is why Dunham is good. It doesn’t matter if you notice his lips move when you focus on his face. A good ventriloquist makes you focus on the dummy to the point that you buy into the dummy as an actual character.

Like the part I’m always impressed with isn’t the voice. It’s how he can manipulate the mouth, eyebrows, even move walter’s body subtlety to indicate normal body language. He leans forward and back. He shrugs. He told. Slightly shakes his head. Looks in different directions. None of these things are REQUIRED to make the conversation but adds so much to the effectS
