Stare, I m sorry, but there is a university next door and especially in summer, the few black people in light summer clothes also look fantastic. Especially if you're not used to it. You can take a look there.
A friend of mine was once in Morocco, with her long blonde hair, everyone stared at her just like that. That doesn't have to be racism.
Another friend was in the Philippines, away from tourism, where the children came from school to see and touch them. They had never seen white people before. Some were afraid, others were curious. This is how people are all over the world.

I love Germany, and you are so right about it being a comfortable country and the least racist.

I was born and raised in Germany. Know the village life and the life in the big city. You are stared at everywhere and I do it sometimes to. But mostly just because people look so beautiful. Or I wonder where the person got the bag from … should I ask or not?😅😂 Germans are shy ppl. I have also experienced racism. And I also work with older people. Surprisingly, the older generation is the most tolerant for me. As a child, they always made me know that my parents come from somewhere else, since I was born and raised here, I am German. Many do not know that Germany also has a dark past with refugees.

I've lived in Oberramegau Germany as a kid and I've felt the discrimination when it came to race and rank more from fellow American military families .

Well, Germans are interested people. They want to go in depth.
😂😂
(German myself.)

I think it's part of the mentality to look and "not look away", if that makes sense.
To not be superficial.
Idk.

There is racism in Germany my son is 12 and have been called monkey and made fun of because of his skin color. My 9 year old was called the n word on the playground.

Thanks for sharing! I'm thinking about visiting Cologne, Germany next year and sadly, coming from America, I have to check how racist a country is before I visit 😮‍💨 I have enough racism at home, I don't need it on vacation 😅 Good to know you’ve had a good experience there...and your hair looks fabulous!!! Are there places to get Africa American hair done?

Well being a black American woman and being a black African woman are two different experiences. The latter get more racially profiled than the former 😢

I’ve heard kids in Africa want to touch hair of Europeans. It’s just human curiosity wanting to learn. I think it would be ok at first but then it would get to be really intrusive.

Yeah it is like Africans seeing a white person in a village for the first time.😊

So, do African-American women have a preference for Europe in general?
