Inga you have NO idea how much of a comfort (and ideas!) these videos are giving me. I've been living abroad for a year now and I truly cannot survive without cooking myself my own comfort food that suits my tastebuds. Sometimes I do get tired of cooking and just lost appetite and eat whatever, but then once in awhile these videos come through and somehow always got me back to my appetites and gets me to cooking right away! lol

"Can't brain right now" is SO relatable. 😂 And yes, I go back and forth between Asian and Western foods too! Definitely grateful to be able to enjoy both.

What you said about being caught between western and Eastern food, really struck me in the feels. I am always swinging between craving Korean food, and western food. When I’m in one place I crave the other and vice versa. Love your insights and videos

Hi Inga, I'm not the type to comment but I need you to know that I've been a huge fan of your channel ever since the start and you're one of my favourites to watch on youtube. I absolutely ADORE your stay-at-home cooking 3 meals a day vlogs. I drop everything whenever you release these videos! They aren't only cosy but they inspire me to really take care of myself by putting more care, creativity and effort into the meals I make. It looks so fun too. Thank you for sharing your life with us!!

I came to see you eat the udon, watched you cook breakfast, enjoying it, sit through everything, then only remembered that I came for the udon when you said that you are cooking udon for lunch. I ended up watching the whole video. I haven’t been watching your videos in a while, and now I remember why I liked your videos. This is what I’d call as “aesthetically pleasing, but realistic cooking and eating” video. The little details such as your kitchen (that looks pretty but functional), the inside of your fridge (tidy but a lot of things are there), the smudged beef, and your little text commentaries 🤌 it feels like seeing a friend’s video. Thank you for making these, I hope you are showered with joy in life like I find joy in watching your videos!

ok, hear me out right:

those thicCCC udon, but with all the dipping sauces - a dashi-based sauce with at least five sea creatures, the classic Sichuan garlic chili oil, Taiwanese beef noodle soup stock reduced to tsukemen levels of thickness, two kinds of curry - Japanese and Thai, what else... the Filipino kare-kare (which is probably a cross between tantanmen and satay, flavor-wise)?

Glad to see you back here, Inga!

There's a similar Chinese noodle called Biang Biang Mian which has similar texture to the Japanese udon you showed here but prepared differently.

Whenever my mom makes taiwanese beef noodle soup she always puts the beef shank in the freezer for an hr or 2 so it is easier to cut into slices without it falling apart

I just wanted to say that your videos bring me an insane sense of calm. Something about the way that you carry yourself just makes me feel so comfortable like we are close friends. I look forward to seeing more videos from you and know that your journey is real and we are all with you and recognize how much strength it takes to share your mental health journey on social media with a bunch of people you have never met. Next time I'm in New York I will keep an eye out for you on one of your iconic bagel runs:)
