If we take the UK as a whole the four major Muslim communities are Azad Kashmiris, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, and Somalis. These communities on the whole do not particularly like each other, and tend not to mix with each other. They even have issues within their own national identity based on regional, tribal, and caste differences. The closest of these four communities are the Pakistanis, and Azad Kashmiris as the terroritory falls under Pakistani administration. However there are still differences between mainland Pakistanis, and Azad Kashmiris with some Pakistanis, and Azad Kashmiris viewing themselves as entirely seperate communities. The one Ummah idea seems to be most popular among reverts, and born Muslims who have grown up in the West, and come back to their Deen. Islamically speaking we are all one community but in reality here in the Uk we are all separate communities. Historical conflicts play their part in some of these divisions but it also has alot to do with cultural, and lingusitic differences.
