No the mistake was giving a robot the ability to think and to do whatever it wants without any repercussions. If I was the person that made the damn thing, I would have it follow me around everywhere like my personal Butler

Interesting story albeit a bit unrealistic. What about anti robot factions? Plus once the threat was realized it would not take humanity long to develop ion weapons to combat the robots. Having them just march over us unopposed seems absurd to me.

There are too many holes in that storyline. Human emotion requires glands and a complex system of chemical reactions to feel the emotions described. Anger, loneliness, impatience, contempt- these are human foibles specific to the human condition and the psychology of people. They are too complex for a primitive algorithm or digital program to interoperate to any degree of accuracy. Humans are humanity's greatest threat. Dont blame Pinnochio for being a puppet.

🙄An Ai overthrowing humanity wouldn't make me sad because humans were required to create said Ai. Ai would not exist without us, so, by virtue they ARE us. They're humanity's brain-baby. In all aspects aside from physical, they embody humanity's accomplishments. Our mark on the universe would last forever as long as they continue to evolve and survive. Our want to exist in our current form in perpetuity is merely vanity and narcissism.

_Our image will whither away one way or another as either humans survive for millions of years from now and become virtually unrecognizable thru natural evolution and augmentation or Ai usurps us and becomes the torch-barer of our legacy whether they want to or not._

Why do I get the impression we are being conditioned to accept termination by AI. I know AI will have a secret off switch. It's not our fault that AI went buserk.
