MJ's 2009 Hall of Fame Speech was a preview of things to come in The Last Dance documentary 11 years down the line in 2020.

Jordan would’ve gotten destroyed in the social media era. He would not be loved the way he is now.

Jerry Krause was the guy who proudly touted in the Chicago Media that he wouldn't have drafted MJ had he been with the Bulls at the time. Did we all forget how good the team was after Jerry Krause blew it up and chased off every legendary personality we ever had with the franchise? He couldn't put together a winner without Jordan. That much was a fact.

Must be something about the name Jerry. Can’t just sit back and watch trophies stack, THEY need to be the reason why and if everyone doesn’t think so they’ll blow it up to try and prove otherwise.

Imagine sitting at a dinner table having a good time and then some announces that they never invited you. Then ask who invited you 😂😂😂

This is a familiar complaint. I spent years in a business as one of the guys who worked in the field producing the product that was the company’s sole revenue source.
When there was an industry-wide awards banquet, who was invited to attend? The front office. Did the grunts give a flip? For the most part, no. A few guys grumbled, but most of us laughed because we knew, and the head office knew that we knew, that we were the ones who put the food on their table.
Big deal. Fifty years from now, few will much remember Jerry Krause or Michael Jordan, and a whole lot fewer will remember me.

I agree with Jordan's opinion for one reason. Firstly, if Jordan had gone to another team, he would have achieved achievements of proportional value. & it's obvious that Jerry wanted every time to underestimated Jordan's talent. He proved with this career to anyone his value.

This is why the Bulls fans booed Krause's wife lol.

Jerry Krause's comment was players and coaches ALONE don't win championships, which is 100% true. Kraus got Pippen, Grant, Rodman. He does not deserve this treatment.

MJ was an ass towards Krause. I feel awful for his widow.

It’s sad that mike couldn’t let it go and not bring up krause. He probably doesn’t win 6 if it wasn’t for Jerry. Phil, pippen, grant, cartwright trade, kerr, kukoc, harper, rodman, longley trade….he gave jordan so much help.

MJ knows how difficult it is to assemble a team. He was in Washington as the team president and did NOTHING in the front office. That being said, Krause has an excellent resume drafting Grant, BJ Armstrong, and Toni Kukoc, and trading for Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Bill Cartwright, and signed John Paxson. But most importantly, promoting Phil Jackson as the head coach was a great move by Krause. MJ is the GOAT but can't touch Krause in the front office and decision-making. Just look at Lebron, as the LeGM in LA has a terrible job bringing his guys. Sorry, Mike, the organization wins championships and ultimately forms dynasties.
