Historic 2004 Otis Geared Elevonic (411) Traction Elevators @ Hotel ICON, Autograph Collection

Fun Facts: This building was originally the Union National Bank, and was built in 1911. This place was converted into a hotel in 2004.

There were originally 3 elevators in this bank. 2 of them were removed and replaced with the one on the left. The one on the right is the original car which was modernized.

I only rode the elevator on the right, which is original to the building (I was low on time).

Elevator #1: Installed in 2004.

Elevator#2: Installed in 1910, Replaced in 2004.

Both of these elevators are Otis Geared Elevonic (Low-Mid Rise Variant of Otis Elevonic Systems).

For my own safety, I used my knee and my elbow to push the buttons.

I stayed here once for fun even though it’s in my hometown. The rooms were amazing. The bathroom fixtures were imported from Europe. I had a jetted tub and a huge mosaic tiled shower. I stayed on 6 if you were wondering. But the room key would unlock the whole floor panel.
