'Cargo Ship SNAPS in Two Causing Oil Spill'

A Panamanian ship has broken in two off the coast of Japan, spilling gallons of crude oil.

The 39,910-tonne Crimson Polaris was carrying wood chips when it ran aground on Wednesday.

It managed to free itself, but was unable to move far before splitting in two, due to bad weather.

The ship isn’t an oil tanker! It’s carrying wood chips, the oil is from the ships tanks to power the ships engines.

Yeah no china definitely did this on purpose, all ships have sonar and can map the area underneath the ship especially if it's in a shallow area like a bay. Not an accident

My observation. In respect to transporting crude oil, many oil tankers have failed and spilled more crude oil than pipelines failures.

We need to accelerate the adoption of electric cars so that we don't have to keep refining oil to 800 degrees centigrade and shipping it around the planet so that people can fuel up weekly. Build a battery once, charge it from renewable (as much as possible, over 50% in Europe), recycle it after 10 years when the battery is done.

I don't get why they have to ship oil on the ocean. God gave us oil in many different parts of the world so we dont have to ship on the ocean.
