⚜️Tri meaning three and Shool meaning spear, the weapon held by Lord Shiva is of great significance. Though this weapon has been held by a lot of other deities, too, the one held by Lord Shiva is said to have many properties. It is believed that Shiva’s Trishool destroys the physical world which is illusion, the mental world which is ego and then takes us to the third world which is spiritualism.

Some people have spoken of the trident as a destructive weapon, but it is not so in the case of trident held by Lord Shiva. With the presence of the three main devtaas, the Trishool is the destructor of the physical world which drags the mankind away from the spiritual connection. It represents holiness and good deeds and is said to remove the troubles of past, present and future. The Trishool formed in the human body represents the 3 energy sources namely ida( इड़ा), pingla(पिंगला) and sushumna(सुषुम्ना). Sushumna, the 7th chakra, is in the centre and known as the main centre of energy. When energy reaches this chakra, the external happenings do not have any negative effect on the human body. The two other parts ida and pingla are Shiv and Shakti on the basis of their properties.

So basically the Trishool is a symbol of auspiciousness and it helps in giving a positive outlook to the mind helping us to lead a blissful life without the fear of birth, life and death.

⚜️The Pashupatastra is an irresistible and most destructive personal weapon of Shiva, Kali and Adi Para Shakti, which can be discharged by the mind, the eyes, words, or a bow. Never to be used against lesser enemies or by lesser warriors, the Pashupatastra is capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings. Pashupatastra is the most destructive, powerful, irresistible weapon mentioned in the Hindu mythology.

In Mahabharata, only Arjuna; and in Ramayana, sage Vishvamitra and Rama possessed Pashupatastra. It is one of the six Mantramukta weapons that cannot be resisted.

⚜️ Not many of you would be aware of the fact that Lord Shiva also possessed a sword. Yes you read it right. Lord Shiva possessed a sword which was known as the Chandrahasa. Chandrahasa literally means “the laughter of the moon”. The sword got its name because of its shape. The Chandrahasa was shaped like a crescent moon which is symbolic of the smile of the moon.
The Chandrahasa was gifted to Ravana, the king of Lanka by Lord Shiva.
As we all are aware of the fact that Raavan was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva and also had the boon that he will be known as the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva in the world.

He wielded his Chandrahaas in the battle with Sri Raam, because it was not taken just to show that even if you have such divine blade by your side still you cannot escape Death. Sri Raam attacked with his arrow and barehanded Raavan by his Raudraastra that hit with such a force that it fell from his hands. Raavan understood this that after all these years Chandrahaas never left him. He recognised that Sri Raam has come as Sri Vishnu Himself as death of Raavan. He didn’t attempted to look back on Chandrahaas and continued to fight with Sri Raam. Meanwhile, at the place where Chandrahaas was going to fall Lord Hanuman stood there and caught the Chandrahaas because if it would have fallen on the earth the earth would have split in two and as Lord Hanuman was himself a Rudra he was the only one on ground that could have sustained the force of the falling Chandrahaas. Lord Hanuman returned the Chandrahaas to Lord Shiv. Thus Chandrahaas was taken back by Lord Shiv.

⚜️The parashu named Vidyudabhi is the weapon of the god Shiva[6] who gave it to Parashurama, sixth avatar of Vishnu, whose name means "Rama with the axe" and also taught him its mastery. Parashurama learnt Kalaripayattu from Lord Shiva who was the inventor of Kalaripayattu.

⚜️ Lord Shiva’s bow, known as the Pinaka, was one of the two bows that Vishwakarma had created for Shiva and Vishnu. Shiva first used the weapon to destroy the three impregnable cities of Maya, Tripura, and put an end to the evil asuras Tarakaksha, Vidyunmalin and Kamalaksha. Lord Shiva had used Vasuki, the snake he wears as a garland, as the string of Pinaka. The day Shiva destroyed the three cities is celebrated as Kartik Purnima.

Pinaka was passed down in King Janaka’s dynasty, who was Sita’s father. Once, while playing with her sisters, a young Sita lifted the bow with ease. King Janaka was astonished to see such a miracle as it took several strong grown men to lift the bow, but his young daughter had done the deed effortlessly. And so, he decided that he would marry his daughter to someone who could also lift the divine bow. Rama of Ayodhya, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, was able to lift the divine Pinaka, and while trying to put a string to the bow, he snapped the bow into two.
