I am very proud of this product. The head is actually a copy of the 1965 British Tech. Techs came in many different models over the years. It was manufactured in 8 counries and each country had its own version. For example, the Brits used aluminum handles. It changed the dynamics of the razor quite a bit. The Tech that you showed was produced likely in the 1940s, or early 50s. It is perhaps one of the more aggressive Tech around.

Kevy, thanks for doing the video. I put my whole heart into designing what I hope will become heirlooms. Its nice to see such a positive review, especially from someone whose opinion I value.

Great shave. It's nice to see someone attempting to recreate a vintage wet shaving item that we love or would like to see be brought back. It triggers the nostalgia every time. Have a great day

I am a complete fan of the Ball End Tech. To procure one in stainless would be an absolute dream. I received a pre-war Tech replica by ALSHABAB from Tony Tony for my birthday this past May. It shaves wonderfully! So far, it has performed flawlessly with every blade I've put through it. Just like your original; the ALSHABAB is very much a lightweight. I would love a heavier version for the control aspect. The Uomo badger was mesmerizing in appearance as well as performance. I'm not positive, but I surmise the Noxema is lax in residual slickness because it is a "sensitive" formula. It can be argued that the emollients typically utilized for additional slickness clog the pores of individuals prone to irritation. This being said, I was still pleased to hear the overall effectuation of this cream passed muster enough to hold a place in your den. There are so many razors on loan to you that I hope they stay in your temporary employ. There are so many blades yet to be tried in these amazing DE razors. In post script I feel it necessary to reveal that there is no political reason for spelling Alshabab is all caps. I did it simply because the razor has that name in all upper case letters across the entire top cap. But it is a surprisingly good shaver. Then again, Tony Tony has never steered me wrong on gear. Cheers, Kev! It was great chatting with you during our group call yesterday. The joyous laughter and camaraderie made the entire group chat memorable, and a much needed need to laugh. As always, my respectful greetings to Shona, and Riley B. King.

Hi Kevy- Nice shave and shaving cream review; thank you! The razor looks quite nice; I’m sure the extra weight is a welcome addition to the razor. Great-looking brush, as well! I hope you have a great weekend ahead of you and all the best!

Great shave Kevy💈💈 The lighter the razor, the easier the pressure applied. People tend to be heavy handed with light razors and subsequently the nicks and weepers appear🤔 Hahaha, just an observation from my experience😢 Noxzema used to be a big name product in the states, but I haven't seen it available in my area in some time. Nice review and video as always👍 Enjoy!

Good stuff, Kevy! I think it's great that somebody is reproducing old Gillette razors. Sounds smooth and comfortable, too!
Cheers! -Rob

Very interesting Homage to the classic Gillette. Not sure the cream will be top of my shopping list. I use La Toja cream which comes in the metal tube which performs well and would be in the same category.

I've been interested in getting one of those, but, honestly, I have a gold ball-end Tech, a mid 1930's - 1940's Tech with the triangle slots on the bottom plate, and a travel Tech, too. The one with the triangle slots is the one I use the most but, yeah, it's a wee bit too light so I couple it with a stainless steel handle I got from Maggard Razors. Have a great rest of your week, Kevy!

I have a safety razor Gillette Fatboy adjustable 1956 and it is very good to inherit it from my dear father, the design of the Gillette Tech is also very classic, of course I prefer the original (LOL) I can see that your shaving technique is clean you should Make a new video of Kevy Shaves VS MÜHLE R41 along with a Feather blade, with Kevy's Glenteman Brush a Pre Provance soap (natural version) and to finish an after shave Fine Snake Bite would be an emotional shave greetings.

I get a kick out of the claim, "This is an authentic replica."

That was a video where I kept saying "That reminds me of..."
The cream...Reminds me of a skin condition.
The brush handle...Reminds me of my grandparents's 70's style lighter and cigarette case. Classic onyx, and the cigarettes being those fluorescent one's with the gold filter🤣
The razor head reminded me of the Piccolo where I'd imagine it would be perfect for under the nose.
Cheers Kevy for Wednesday night's entertainment 👍

Unfortunately for me, I can't any of the Floids here in Singapore or at least I don't know where to as yet. Wet shavers are a rare breed here and much less stores / barber stores catering to us.
None the less, great shave Kevy.

Nice shave. I suspect the Replitech's weight might be quite close to the older brass handle ball end Tech. It's got to be one of Gillette's most successful razors, by virtue of simplicity in design, yet ingenious in efficiency.
Remember, laughter, like DE shaving gear, is something we can never have too much of! 😉👍

Great shave buddy! I think I’ve got like one or two creams that smell Medicinal like your describing. I don’t like the scent but, they’re good creams to use nonetheless! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Excellent shave sir as always, I don’t know why but Floid Black to me smells very similar to Creed Aventus. My favourite is the orange one from Floid both suave and vigoroso.
Thanks
