This remembers me as a Go player, Chinese strategic board game, the eldest board gane in the world which was iriginally develooped to train military strategies about the concept of Sente and Gote. Sente = initiatively action, gote = defense, reaction. One cant win a game = war = battle if losing Sente. So to say, the Russians are steadily in gote
