Analog or Digital Gauges?

Analog gauges, digital gauges, or a combination of both? Analog gauges will always be better, but we appreciate the level of customization you can have with a digital dashboard.

Idk my blackwing has a digital display and it’s pretty sweet. I always swore by analog but now that the tech is finally there to back the concept it’s definitely cool

Analog, it shows us information in real-time.
Digital will sometimes glitch or have a malfunction, and it delays on refreshing information.

Either one as long as they are done well. Being now used to digital speed its weird to go back and forth between digital/analog but as long as the gauges are clear and nice looking, Im game. I loved the gauges that were in for example a few year old Mustang but I still love the fact that a digital gauge can be whatever you want. And full analog is another world, you have only the most basic data but as long as its designed well, I love it.

Having digital for so long now it’s way easier to read in a performance car. All my Audis have had virtual cockpit left in track mode since 2017.

Didn’t they have a big wave in the 80s of digital dash in cars and it some how just went away back to analog? I wonder why

Well i would choose digital because even tho digital is gliched sometimes, its more accurate than analog.but overall, analog is a pure classic

Depends on the application. No way I’d want digital in a classic car and similarly wouldn’t really want analog in pure race car.

Just like on your wrist, it’s hard for digital to surpass analogue dials no matter how much more features and functions you toss in. Digital gauges pop out, but ages so badly.
