Ballard WMA Waterfowl Habitat Update - Fall 2019

Challenging crop-growing conditions due to a wet spring have led to a boon in native seed producing plants and invertebrates on the Ballard WMA this year. These are ideal natural food sources for waterfowl. Some of the areas that waterfowlers frequent on Ballard WMA may look a little different than usual this year, but they will offer much habitat value for our wetland wildlife in terms of food and cover.
