Goodyear Textile Mill - Rockmart, Ga

Goodyear Textile Mill #2 was built in Rockmart, Georgia in 1929. This plant produced cotton fabric for automobile tires. One of Rockmart’s claims to fame are the huge balloon characters used in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City that were made at the Goodyear Plant by the Aviation Products Division. Although Goodyear sold the mill in 1987, the building is still in use.

I love this. Our family was on this video. My daddy worked for Goodyear for many years. This picture was on TV. This was my mom, dad, and my 2 sisters, and me. I was the youngest.
