I'm an Indian and I can *confirm* that Gomutra is not as popular as you think it is. Mostly only the people who are very superstitious and religious consume it/use it. Personally, *nobody* I know has ever used it or consumed it and most people don't like the idea.

As an Indian and as someone who's in a traditional family, I was never made to consume gomutra for any reason whatsoever. We usually use gomutra for cleansing purposes because here they believe that it has this power to keep away bad spirits and brings peace in the home.
