My favorite tip is when you reminded us that if we do just one thing a day to promote our book, by the end of the year we will have done 365 things to promote our book. I think that it great advice because sometimes life throws so much at us that we are tempted to look at the list of things that need to be done to write, edit, and promote our book and feel like we are looking at an unconquerable mountain. Then we get discouraged and often give up. But if we take your advice and take that one step each day (or in this case do one thing to promote our book), it will not be long before that mountain has been won.

When I started out, I didn't give a freebie. I had a great conversion rate when new books came out. Then I gave in and offered a freebie and my conversion rate tanked. The people on my list before the freebie were dedicated fans. After, it was inundated with freebie seekers.

Great tips, Julie! You speak so clearly that what you say is very easy to follow. I have subscribed and look forward to listening to more of your videos! One way I promote my books is by sending out press releases in the form of feature stories to newspapers in areas I once lived. I write them in the third person, as if it's not me who is writing them! I craft the articles to include information pertinent to a particular area, e.g. if the newspaper is located in the city where I attended college, I would mention that aspect. And so on and so on!
