This is really sad. Canvas Temple's games are usually pretty well produced. This is especially true if it is a Kickstarter where they should have the time to review everything with a fine tooth comb.

Thank you Moe for your frank/honest feedback on these games thus maintaining your credibility. Completely agree with the "Sloppiness" aspect of this. Just like a job interview... only 1 first impression. What else did they miss/not proof? Errata happens but in a reprint? Smaller game? This is not a good way to start off/instill confidence in a company or in a kickstarter. Hopefully just a minor glitch and all else remains solid and turns out to be a fun game.

As someone who was always in quality control those same things irk me. B-17 from Avalon Hill was a great game. Solitaire also. Great, until you found the full 2 sided page of errata for all the tables. 5 pages of double-sided tables. Largest boo boo I ever saw the company make.
What I see a lot more these days are concepts lost through translation and important information stuffed in odd places.

I read the title on map and rules as Stalingrad Solitaire. ie read large font first. I think they only did it this way so they could use a single S for both words for aesthetic reasons. However, I agree they should have done the box cover the same way for consistency. Good review, it looks like you dont get a lot other than a very old pnp game for your money. Cheers.

Totally on board with you on your (few but fair) negative comments. A boardgame is a product and if it wants my money it better be good or it will stay on the shelf.
I can think of a few games that I wanted to buy in the last year but decided against it after seeing the abysmal quality of the components.

The two things you mention are utterly insignificant to me (and I likely would not have noticed either of them). I do, however, have an issue with the bland counter art.
