Winning his legal battle was one of the largest strides Dwight and his plans to take control of Oklahoma made in Tulsa King season 2, episode 3. Even though the U.S. Attorney was personally pursuing the case, it is important to understand the facts behind Dwight's detention in order to comprehend why he prevailed in court. Dwight was accused of trying to bribe a federal agent after he gave Stacy Beale $1 million at the conclusion of the first season of Tulsa King. Dwight was found not guilty mostly because the ATF had a very weak case from the start and he had no legal basis to bribe Stacy.

I don't know why I haven't gotten to season 2 yet, but even I know from the first season all he did was give money to a friend, no strings attached. He gave it to her because her career was over. She turned around, and stabbed him in the back.
