Thank you for this info. I followed all instructions here but it still keeps asking for the pin that was used before. I just want it cleaned off so we can start fresh. Did a factory reset and still asking to verify pin. I do not have any other accounts associated with this phone (also asking for those). This phone has not been used in a few months and none of us remembers the passcode. Totally fine just clearing it all off and starting over but cannot figure out how. Please advise and thank you again for your help.

Just did all that on my new Pixel 7 Pro and it still requires the password. I thought that was the whole point of resetting it in the first place! Looks like I'm screwed! Bought the phone while in hospital and set it up while under the influence of some powerful pain relievers following a knee replacement op. Any ideas?
