The High Weald Steam Working Weekend is still a new show with this only being its 2nd year. The show is at Danehill in East Sussex. The Show Features lots to offer from Classic and Vintage Vehicles, Tractors, Trucks, Traction Engines, Steam Rollers, Stationary Engines to the best part of the show for many visitors the Heavy Haulage. The Heavy Haulage goes around the showground and is pulled by different forms of motive power this being Tractors, Heavy Haulage Trucks and of course Steam engines like Steam Rollers, Traction Engines and Road Locomotives. There was plenty of variety as well with the loads on the trailers some having logs on and some having Heavy Machinery on like a Old Diesel Roller and a Diesel Crawler there was even a Railway Wagon Chassis on one trailer.

There was displays such as Stationary Engines powering Old Farming Equipment like Water Pumps, Corn Grinders and much more. There was also Old Fashion Threshers and Hay Bailers powered by Portable Steam Engines and Tractors. Another display was the Road Making where they would use a Rock Crusher and crush bricks and concrete to be used on a road surface and compacted by a Steam Roller. A wood sawing display was there where big logs would be sawed up on a bench powered by a Traction Engine.

The special guests at the show was the Passion Tracteur et Collection (Passion Tractor and Collection) which was a group of 15 Tractors that had come all the way from France a place called Gournay-en-Bray to Danehill the trip was 107 kms excluding crossing the channel which took them 3 days of driving.

A big thanks to all the Event Organizers, The Sussex Steam Engine Club and Exhibitors for putting on a great show which is one of the best I have been to in a few years.

That's amazing when the old steamers can manage heavy haulages than the modern diesels.

Talking about steam powered torque. Pulling a tank? Impressive.

the guy on the white tractor apparently didn't know that he's supposed to have the tractor in low range when pulling a load

I see quite a few of them spinning out I'm wondering if they forgot to add the calcium carbonate to the tires of a 80-90% percent

The blue duel axle truck pulling the huge log I saw had military style tires on it. Anyone know the make of that truck by chance?

Why is the trailer with the roller on being pulled by two different vehicles,

The guy on the one tractor should have dropped a few gears before /as he was starting to spin his tires. I had that experience many years ago with our Ford 3000 Super Dexta English made. Dropped from 4 gear to 1st and the tires stopped spinning that was 4 trees on the trailer. yes it was a learning experience for a 15 yr old.
