Another bad trend is now on the rise and it's even harder to get detached - the tracking and surveillance from your car.
Car manufacturers are doing now very intensive tracking of how people interact with and operate their cars.
The data is then sold and funneled to insurance companies, which can increase your car insurance, based on how you operate your vehicle.
It is expected, that 95% of cars will be connected by 2030.
More on the subject can be read on Mozilla's research on car manufacturers, called "What Data Does My Car Collect About Me and Where Does It Go".
I would love, if you can do some videos on that too, esp. given the fact, that detaching oneself from his/hers' car surveillance may prove much more difficult.

It seems these companies are now far too powerful. A few years ago I happened to lose my memory through illness and as a result could not use passwords or logins to identify myself. After a while my phone became increasingly useless and I was excluded from most sites. It was quite a profound moment when I realised that the phone I'd prized was actually was an elaborate targeted selling device. It needed my ID to sell to me. Pretty disillusioned.

There's an aspect to digital privacy I'm becoming increasingly concerned with which is how it could effect one's relationship with their employer. Particularly in the case of a company android or iPhone that an employee maybe expected to carry on them at all times. Attempting to set boundaries will likely be viewed by normies as irrational paranoia, thus reducing one's opportunities for employment.

The move to ai moved me to linux. If my machine does something i need to understand fully why...cant do that with ai involved. A snap shot every few seconds does not hedge against bad ai

Your videos aren’t too long because you are not talking just because you like the sound of your own voice. Your descriptions of what, how, and why these corrupt companies and especially corrupt law enforcement agencies are very important. Don’t change the important information in your videos. If you want to do a show and tell showing how they steal your privacy info, would be a plus.

This is very valuable information. I have AI disabled as much as possible on all my devices. AI is a big puzzle piece, the others are tracking on websites, which was touched on a bit in the Google section, and cloud storage. I deal with these two issues by using Firefox as my browser with copious blockers installed, staying signed out of google everywhere, and using alternate "anonymous search engines". In quotes because they're not completely anonymous and any browser or other product they try to sell you on definitely aren't.

Basic tracker disabling can be done with uBlock Origin on firefox, it also works on mobile. Firefox too has its own issues with centralized accounts but they are much easier to avoid. I'm half and half. I do heavily use bookmarks and tab sharing and can't fully self host those yet. Password management is self hosted.

Disable your one drive and anything that requires an account to sync your devices, phonelink for microsoft is another big one.

Went to Linux about a year ago - not regretted. Only use Windows for some games and 1 or 2 legacy programs that I paid for that I have not found better in Linux.
