Recently bought the latest Dyson cordless, Gen5 Detect. Incredibly powerful vacuum. We had a older traditional corded vacuum and thought we'd be sacrificing power moving to cordless. Absolutely blown away with the amount of dust this thing is pulling from our carpets. It's clear this was a huge upgrade in suction power. The hepa filter is great too. I'm certain our allergies haven't been as bad and our rooms even smell cleaner than before. Very happy with the product and keen to see how Vacuum Wars rates it.

Thank you for your videos and your great channel. When I was a kid my dad would take me into the vacuum store and chat with a service or sales rep for hours. He really enjoyed it and even though we didn't have much money for him to buy vacuums all the time he would fix all the ones people would trash or break.

He passed away over a decade ago. Before youtube really gained popularity. But I know for a fact if he was around today he would absolutely love your channel and your videos and would most likely be your biggest fan. Thanks again

Your budget pick was the vacuum I bought earlier this year. I didn’t want to spend a ton and was researching like crazy trying to get the best bag for my buck on a vacuum, I thought I knew what I wanted till I got to Walmart and saw this brand I’d never heard of, I googled reviews of it and your video reviewing it popped up. I watched the video in store to hear your thoughts and that was all the reassurance I needed. You do such a thorough job that I trusted your opinion on the spot and bought it, and I’m pretty darn happy with it. For what I paid and for my small apartment it’s a great vacuum. My boyfriend said he wants a better vacuum at some point soonish and I know I’ll point him in the direction of your channel.

I ended up getting the Shark Stratos, thing was 500 dollars at local target. It is amazing how far vacuum technology as come. It wasn't that long ago a cordless vaccum would last about 2 mins and cost the same price. Now I can vacuum entire 800 square foot room and not hassle with the cord.

My new apartment has hard floors and I find it gets looking way dirtier way quicker, but my big corded Shark is a pain to set up and put away so I find myself leaving dust bunnies and crumbs to pick up later when the floors become unignorable

I need a cordless vacuum so I can do quick cleanups once or twice a day without putting everything on hold for a solid half hour

I got the shark vacuum and really my only complaint with it thus far are
1) no wall mounting/charging option
2) included tool accessories are pretty basic compared to my previous shark corded unit, and they're not compatible to interchange

Other then that, it's fantastic.

We bought the Lupe earlier this year for it's light weight on my failing elbows and for its "built to be repaired" construction. It has performed brilliantly after several short-lived Dysons.

The brush heads on the Sharks are only like 8" wide, making for poor edge cleaning. That and ongoing maintenance, like filter type, should be a part of any vacuum test, IMO.

One key area you need to cover (and I can share now that I've stopped working for a manufacturer) is... longevity.

Many vacuums you review with praise, unfortunately, rely on filtration to capture dirt or are difficult to disassemble to maintain. This affects performance from bin to bin and the length of ownership. Some machines literally lose performance as you use them. Poor dirt separation causes filters to clog during use and reduces suction by up to 30% (test empty bin vs full bin). Even "features" like the straight-wand vs angled-wand will cause an air vortex which reduces airflow.

I recommend you revisit models after a year of use to share how the unit has performed. How easy is it to disassemble to maintain and ensure a long life? Some of these "amazing" double-cleaning heads (i.e. Shark) can't be disassembled, and over time build-up debris will seize the brushbar (or just once picking up hair strands from a Halloween wig, i.e. plastic hair). Plan for a 6-month or 12-month revisit, and please consider disassembling the product to share the quality of the build and expected maintenance by the owner.

Bought the OG corded Shark Apex vacuum way back when for our relatively small, but mainly all carpeted apartment. And with your recommendation, it has been going strong and have never experienced any issues with it since. Now that we've finally moved to a house, where it's all hardwood ceramic flooring with very few rugs, I believe it's time to upgrade. And most likely it's going to be two of the best vacuums this channel has picked. And those ultimately will be both the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra for everyday use, and this year's winner with Shark's Stratos for smaller isolated cases. Our old Apex would then retire to be passed on to a relative who has more carpets than ours, since it's still capable for its purpose. Thank you as always for the detailed & comprehensive reviews!

I purchased Soniclean tick vacuum. No a well known company, but it is made by Mohawk. It is fabulous does have removable battery. Like it better than my dyson

Purchased a shark stratos a few months ago. I was waiting for a video like this to see if it would make your top 3. I could not be happier with the stratos. Best vacuum I’ve ever owned and for a fraction of the price compared to Dyson.
