Foghat and The Pat Travers Band was the first concert I went to in 1979. Awesome concert and tickets were $6.50!!!! Give Pat Travers a listen BOOM BOOM out go the lights, Snorting whiskey Drinking cocaine .Very underrated guitar player.

True story, I worked at club back in the '90s and we hired Foghat to play on my birthday. One crazy thing was how their sound engineers "tuned the club". They set up and cranked every amp up to the max, it was like a rocket ship was going off, and then adjusted the levels so there was no feedback. When they played, their sound was crystal clear You couldn't speak to the person beside you and the sound was vibrating the entire place. It just was so clear you didn't mind how loud it was. I can't explain it well here, it was an experience.

One of the big rock bands of the seventies, we had so much variety in music back then and about the best music era ever - but then I was right in the middle of it im 64 and a bit biased as I graduated high school in 1977 -

The song was on the soundtrack for Dazed & Confused, a superb movie! It begins on the last day of high school in 1976. There are different stories going on and there's a big party in the woods and cruising and dealing with jerks. Stars include Milla Jovovich, Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Parker Posey, Renee Zellweger, and Adam Goldberg, the Jewish soldier in Saving Private Ryan.
They released the soundtrack in two volumes, and both are bangers.
