The Intel fab looks to be huge. I do wonder what it will do to traffic in the area, however. I'm sure Beech Road will get widened as part of such a project, similar to how Beech south of 161 got widened for the Meta data center, but US 62 might need widening between New Albany and Johnstown if the fab creates a lot of commuter traffic.

I'm in DFW (Texas), and realized that Intel once had plans for a fab in Fort Worth two decades ago, invested money into it, then cancelled the project. Hopefully that does not happen this time around, given the pressing need for domestic cutting-edge semiconductor production to help reduce our reliance on a geopolitically-vulnerable Taiwan-based supply chain.

People may not believe this I use to drive through New Albany as a expedite driver in the early 80s this is what it consisted of, a little dairy isle, a gas station, a feed grain mill a little grocery store if I remember correctly. No interstate if I remember population was around 600. What the hell happened ! LOL.
