Transverse is AC meaning magnetic pole induction into coil is switching polarity (North South.) Scalar is static pressure like air pressure meaning it is a constant pole and a constant direction DCF Directional Charge Flow (positive to negative.) Impulse DC is on off frequency non polar flipping. This is also known as longitudinal.
AC polar flipping gives the impulse on off without switching on and off due to the flipping. The sine wave is showing above center line positive North Pole time forward and down on the graph to off. Into and down on the graph below the center line into South Pole on. Then it goes upward on the graph of null zero and into the North Pole positive on again. This would actually show as a circle like the motion of poles entering into and out of the coil for induction magneto dielectric stimulation. However, the monitor screen graph shows this as a "transverse" Wave function. As an ongoing up, over, down, over through forward time.
I guess the crossover in the coils is from your continuous loop such as around the wine bottles, however, is it necessary? The linear motor induces torque into paramagnetic aluminium (ium rare earth metals sodium magnesium etc.) These will produce same direction DCF as in line magneto coils. Thus interlocking (attracted) as well as and also repulsiveness, when in magneto dielectric fields. And this is why we see aluminum plate levitation and propulsion (rail gun and bullet trains.) The simple act of induction polar alignment North South North South North ...especially from points such as nails or combs provides torque on aluminum plates or cylinders. Here I'm talking about North Pole positive from battery or magnetic motion induction induction through the aluminum back out into South Pole negative ground or negative battery or negative magnetic motion (from an induction coil.) So that a magnet on top of a disk or cylinder set in motion will itself propel it and provide the torque motion energy to turn the disk or cylinder. Making this a self propelling motor.
So when we see the Eric Laithwaite video of "Magnetic Stream" the coils are overlapping loops. But still one side of the coil is overlapping the next giving opposite direction in each. Meaning one is North and the next is South. (As mentioned above.)
The iron only increases the magnetism. Loops alone or comb needles alone would also work.
