If you ever feel like God has put too much weight on your shoulders, consider this old adage from Luke — “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required.” In His omniscience, God knows how to delegate appropriately. Being allowed to carry more is a sign that you are passing tests and graduating!
As you develop spiritually and grow closer to the Lord, your responsibilities increase accordingly. In John 14, Jesus explained to His disciples that by simply believing in Him, they tap into omnipotence and are able to do great works!
So if you feel like the heaviness of the world is pulling you down, remember that God gave you the capacity to handle it — just not by yourself. He’s there to bear it with you. Take time to reflect, and you’ll realize He’s been spotting you your entire life, helping you get your weight up!
