Today, more Armenians live outside Armenia than within it. Many surviving families of the 1915 Armenian genocide found refuge in countries all over the world. But in recent years, Armenians have again had to flee conflict in places like Syria. Some are now returning to Armenia and spicing up its cuisine with flavors they acquired over generations away from their homeland.
