Nice video, which summarizes the topic pretty good :) Keep going! But I noticed one thing:
3:24 The confederate flag you showed there was only the Naval Jack with it's brighter blue. Even with the darker blue it wouldn't have been the confederate flag, because this design was never official.

0:43 The one in the middle, with the lotus flower on it is actually really cool. If I'm not mistaken it is heavily involved with the Egyptian creation myth, cool to see it in use as a symbol of identification like the Star of David(✡) or Star and Crescent (☪).

keep up the good work!!!! The United Kingdom and The Republic of Ireland have many ancient flags/royal banners etc, it would be pretty sick to see you do a video on these in the future!!!

3:25 - that's wrong actually. They changed to a white flag with a square battle flag in the canton. Later they put a red bar at the end of the flag because from a distance the white flag looked like a surrender flag.

You used the wrong national flag for the Confederate States. The Confederate States had 3 National flags. 1: The Stars and bars, 2: The Stainless Banner, 3: The Blood Stained Banner.
The commonly known rebel flag was the one shown in the video except it was a square and not a rectangle for infantry, however it was a rectangle for the navy and the army of Tennessee.
You would think a video about the study of flags would be able to fact check their stuff. I mean really? You got a naval jack confused with a national flag. And the ironic thing is you could've used that knowladge as another example as how a flag shouldn't be. The second national Confederate flag got changed because in battle looked like the flag of surrender which was confusing, so in response they added a red column on the (flags) left hand side to distinguish the two and as an ode to France.

The confederates did not use the commonly known dixie flag they used another one with the dixie flag in the corner

I liked your video, but I am curious why you didn't mention the importance of the crusades in the start of fabric flags?

the confederates did stop using the stars and bars but not for the stereotypical confederate flag. the "confederate flag was featured in the canton of another flag in which the field was white. it was again changed to another flag because the 2nd flag looked like a surrender flag. and then I think it was 6 days later they surrendered.
