Just get a proper p-trap and stop throwing paper down the drain. They doale strainer baskets that will help prevent garbage from going down the drain as well.

7:39 A complicated solution. I'll simply twist and close it with a clothespin with a spring. I don't know how it is elsewhere, but here we have clothespins with springs. For example, I use it to close flour bags or toast bread packages.

Anti-rust spray removes decal adhesive, too? I've always used lighter fluid. I reckon it works about the same and is probably cheaper.

In the United States we have a slogan for pretty much all of this. We call it “A Leak”. Some maybe ok for what we call “agricultural improvisation” outdoors in the barn, field or garage but, none of this should be in your home. Hepatitis, septosis, etc. Don’t do this where your family lives.

Good way to make more work for yourself, most things that will not fit through that hole will easily pass through a normal drain pipe and into the 4" pipe just after the sink pipe. Grease and gunk is more of a problem in sinks and that can still pass this device.

They did not get this from a plumber. These all VIOLATE THE PLUMBING CODE--both the corrugated pipe and supposed solution. You must have a J-trap on the pipe. You can't use glue on a plastic pipe. You can't use a jar on your pipe!
