Thank you for watching.

This was the end of a cinematic saga the likes of Star Wars, or The Lord of the Rings.

Video I edited, did you see all those cuts by the way? The more stuff on the timeline the better the editor, I think.

Purchased a 12 core 🗑️ for $350 and it runs 6 thunderbolt displays like butter. Great computer for music production

I just bought one for graphic design. 12 core, 128GB ram, D700’s and a 2TB NVME. It’s nuts

What's the problem with installing Windows on that Mac? It surely supports it via Bootcamp.

Just wanted to add that Davinci Resolve also has a free version and it is an extremely powerful video editor. One of it's features I love is that you can export all your clips in a timeline as separate clips, WITH effects applied. Premiere can't do that, last I checked... it won't apply the effects and it's more difficult to do. I also really love all the color controls in Davinci. But, man, is it a different beast. Very different from Premiere. It feels a bit like Lightroom, in that you jump be tween layouts for different phases of your project.

Has anyone here purchased one recently, say the last year or two and tried running Elementary OS or any ubuntu based linux distro on it? What are the caveats and the user experience so far? Any problems with a particular driver?

dual boot it with windows and macOS. problem solved. macOS will always be better for editing especially Final Cut Pro X

It’s such a nice looking computer though so maybe you should use Final Cut all the time

Further to anyone who prefers Windows to Mac OS, what about buying an old Mac Pro (whether "trash can" or "cheese grater") and using it to run Linux?

Thanks for your input.

I love Mac OS but I agree with you. Unless you need Mac specific software a Windows machine is going to be way better. Oh and Windows is very stable now. LOL

Hey, I really enjoyed your 2013 Mac Pro videos. Just curious if you think it would be good enough to edit 4K motion jpeg codec? (around 500mbit p/s - 24-25fps). I'm hoping with a lot of RAM and 10 or 12 core and the latest version of FCPX that'll run on it it should handle it pretty well since FCP will use all the cores. Seems like it could be one of the best buy macs right now at the current pricing.

Have you tried booting windows operating system on the Mac? Seems counter intuitive, but no one reviews that.

OMG, how many times are you going to go on about the OS, wanted to know about the performance, gave up half way through.

Ah the good old MacOS love hate relationship. Although I do agree with you on some. I would have to say in defense of the Mac users among us. You could get used to it. And you could use it as the primary HQ of the stuff you create. I have to add though. If you are a full time MacOS user you will need a backup Windows PC for stuff you can’t do in MacOS, but if we switch the roles around. You will rarely hear a Windows user wishing he had a Mac to do something his Windows PC can’t … I use both and honestly think they both have their moments. Lets leave it at that. Thanks for the video! I was waiting on it!

Hm, all the off-things you describe in the first minute that "sow you down", well, I experience those too all the time and I just change stuff around so it suits me. However, I don't even think about it being an issue. It is like getting in a car and every time you do you set the mirrors, the seat, etc. Could it be that you are a lazy person in general? Do you like to complain in general and feel uncomfortable with the thought of being contempt?

I think the most beautiful computer was the acrylic cube one but I don't think the performance was there. Compare it to its contemporaries, not the Mac Mini.
