Someone I know was recently complaining about a villain in a movie being "problematic" and how they didn't want to support media that perpetuates bigoted ideologies. I had just as dumbfounded of a response and asked them if they want every character in a movie to just sit around talking about how inclusive and equitable they are. They seemed to be incapable of understanding my point and seemed angered by the fact that I had even questioned them.

I typically like to give online posts the benefit of the doubt that it could be a troll, but sadly it seems there are legitimately people out there that think this way.
