Another important player of Christmas past is Bob Hope and his USO tours to American troops abroad. Those shows started in WW2 in the Pacific theater. His shows continued on up through Vietnam and beyond. They were always on one of our bases close to the front lines. During one show in Thailand during the Vietnam War, a B-52 bomber was on fire and made an emergency landing . Bob could see it from the stage.

Bing is wonderful singing so many Christmas favorites. JUST A SUGGESTION
I hope you do. One of the best LIVE performances I saw was DOLLY PARTON on an Awards Show (I think) singing, "HE'S ALIVE." I don't think it's necessarily a Christmas song but, trust me, it fits. Dolly is dressed all in white. Trust me again, it's powerful and you'll both love it.
