So they rob this man of 43 fucking years of his life and then he doesn’t get compensation? WTF is going on?

That's absolutely disgusting that he won't be compensated ...jail is all he knows and now he's being believed he's being released with nothing...after 43 years of being in jail for a crime he didn't commit

This man has been absolutely failed by the justice system. They owe him everything.

He learned on tv. They didn’t even have the decency to tell him. Good luck sir. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

This man was incarcerated when my mom was 5. She's 48 now and I'm 22 and my brother is 10 - my point is they robbed this man of his life, the opportunity to create and partake in life, and even robbed him of the chance of be present in the lives of those whom he loved most.Sir, if you are reading this, I am so, so sorry.

This man should never have to pay taxes for the rest of his life, he shouldn’t even have to work!! He deserves compensation and to live out the rest of his life in happiness and luxury

As bad as this man was treated, it was so sad that he didn't get a chance to see his mother before she passed away.

He needs to sue the state. It doesn’t matter what the state law is, he needs a jury trial. The state wrongfully convicted him for 43 years. He deserves a jury of his peers to decide compensation not the governor and local politicians.

Everyone that allowed this to happen should resign immediately, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

The wrongful conviction and incarceration of Kevin Strickland is beyond a travesty. It illustrates how horribly broken our legal system is. The courts owe this man a lifetime, which they cannot give back to him. But they should at the very least compensate him with a few million dollars. They OWE HIM.

“Yeah sir we falsely took away basically half of your life and took months to free you even though we knew you were innocent and we will not pay you any compensation, have a good life!”

The American justice system is a joke

When he mentioned getting a cardboard box and him crawling out the front door if they decide to take the wheel chair, that cut deep! You know a system is flawed when the same system tries to protect itself from the mistakes it makes and evades actual responsibility i.e taking care of the wrongly convicted.

That is so disgusting that the Missouri Legal system cheated this man out 43 years of freedom and will not compensate for him for his loss due to their mistake.

I can’t believe this gentleman did not get to see his mother when she just recently died. I mean the man is 62 years old and his mother was still alive and he was not released. The man who said releasing him wasn’t a priority. Oh my God I just cried when I watched this. I so wish I could meet him

I can’t believe they’re not going to compensate him especially since They know he’s innocent now! That Missouri law needs to be changed
