It’s crazy how some analysts think the hawks are gonna pass on a kid who could turn out to be better than kucherov, and pick a defenseman who will turn out to be like an Erik Johnson… blows my mind why they wouldn’t choose an offensive threat, which is exactly what we need, even if they have to wait a year.

Habs will likely pick him at no. 5 if he is still available at that moment. Iginla and Lidstrom are also very high on Habs radar.

This kid can pass too. Complete player offensively. We got to wait tho, most of his goal when he goes through the slot like butter won't happen in the NHL.

Potentially to become the best player in Draft 2024, for sure. I'm a Habs fan, but 3 teams passed on him, that's a huge luck for my team to pick a talent like that at 5. He is even more better all around player than Matvei Michkov aswell.

He is obviously talented but… you must admit… the caliber of the league he’s playing in is well below north American standards. The D’s look like static cones… goalies look like their pads are made of concrete. Hope it translates well to NHL level.

It's like watching a junior league highlights .. even the AHL is stronger/faster then that .. Demidov is a talented player but there is a big gap up to the NHL
