Exploration at similarities between the Doepfer A102 Diode Filter and other filters. The Doepfer A121 Multimode filter and the A120 VCF1 (in the Moog Style) are heard issue by side with the A102 Diode Filter in this video. Sound and Video by Raul Pena.

It´s counterproductive to use a crazy sequence with a bigger tone range to demonstrate the sound of a filter. Just use one long tone, that makes it easier to evaluate.

Would have been interesting to hear if the Moog-style filter had the same "bass drop" issue of actual Moog filters when increasing resonance.

The A-102 us the Synthi-A/VCS3 clone, correct? I knew it sounded nice and nasal but didn't know it could sound so dirty and overdriven.

The filter doesn't sound clean, but quite very disturbed ..

Hello Raul. I've watched countless videos of yours and they are done really well. A project of mine I'm working on has nothing to do with audio. But I'm fascinated with electronic theory... I just want to know all the capabilities; ins & outs of different filters, and what I could use as "variables" to track angular frequencial modulation on an initial phase... Where could I delve into the most technical resources available? I need to learn as much as possible, whether that be through synthesis or theoretics, anything to point me in the right direction to get me hooked up into all this jazz?Thank you ahead of time.
