Lyrics:
These days I've been lying about my age
Pretending I am older worser people stay away
Lately I've been coming on too strong
To men I've never seen before
And won't see me for long

And I,
I don't think I've changed
No and I'm
Too scared to stay the same
So my carpets got crop circles,
My carpets got crop circles these days

All these words of mine I've said before
I'm running out of things to say
Silence I can't endure
Every time I think I'm done but yet
Another crop of memories
It springs up in my head

And I,
I don't think I've changed
No and I'm
Too scared to stay the same
So my carpets got crop circles,
My carpets got crop circles these days

And I,
I don't think I've changed
No and I'm
Too scared to stay the same
So my carpets got crop circles,
My carpets got crop circles these days

Here I am
I'm crying out for change
Here I am
I'm crying out for change

And I,
I don't think I've changed
And I,
I don't think I've changed
And I,
I don't think I've changed
And I,
I don't think I've changed
I don't think I've changed

I can't understand how people don't know this song, it's so relaxing and I feel like I'm on the country with a white dress and dancing while the wind makes my hair messy. I'm so in love with this song 💚

I mean wow, I can’t believe how beautiful this song is, makes me wanna go lay in the bed of my truck just soaking up the night sky, reflecting on the past 5 years of my life

Her voice reminds me of a warm pack of cigarettes in my pocket. Has the feeling of grit when you teach into a pack that's half gone but the warmth and moment of quiet satisfaction when you take the first inhale. Like a cup of coffee that's still warm on a fall day.

Lost my momma in December. Gods I wish I coulda shown this to her, she'd have loved you. Guess I gotta just remember her whenever I hear this song. Weird how memories work. Thank you

Waiting at my bustop just sitting around all the people who are talking to each other and have declared me a outcast and getting on the bus in my lone seat as the humid air from a rain fall in the middle of autumn fills my nose with a some what nostalgic scent and I look out my window and I see the sun just barely rising and peaking through the buildings of my small town while this fills my ears is a mood

This authentic song gets perpetually played on WTUL 91.5 New Orleans. I cannot get it out of my head. It rings the inner bell of my heart.

A friend of mine added this song to a story of hers on IG and I only heard a few bars and was hooked to find the full thing. This is such an amazing song. It resonates so deeply and I'm so lucky to have found it. I'm going to go thank my friend, now.

This song gives me a feeling. Like remembering a memory for the first time in years and letting it take you back. Then you start to reminisce about the good times and memories.

I feel like I'm too young for this song to hit fully but it still makes me cry.
Can't wait to listen to it in a few years and fully fucking bawl

One of my favorite songs from this year. Hum it a lot to myself on rainy days.

Absolutely amazing. Reminds me of Vashti Bunyan.

This song is the embodiment of running through a shallow wheat field in rural Oklahoma on a June evening when the sun begins to set, but the golden wheat around you makes its own light source, allowing you to sit and watch as the pink and blue sky begins to set in as the first shining stars appear as you lie down against the ground. That might just be a me thing though.

If Reba And Janet Joplin had a child 😂... in all seriousness this is a gem, a work of art. Bless you on your journey. Odie

I am always astounded by this song. I have never had anybody relate to the habit of nervous pacing. I don't want to just reiterate her lyrics, but god damn, like she read my soul lol

i love this song so much i had a dream about me humming it and some famous guy (i don’t remember who he might’ve been made up) getting excited over me knowing the song and we just talked about it for the rest of the dream and everyone around us was so intrigued by our love for this song that they all listened to it and then we all sung it together.

Listening to this takes me back to my childhood in Western Colorado & the days I'd go up in the mountains with my parents to get firewood before the first snow hit. I just immediately remember the one time we were out there & I was running through the forest during golden hour 🥰 such precious married with two kids now, & I live in Alaska now-- I plan to give my kiddos memories of nature just like mine ❤️
