E3 was already in trouble before the whole coronavirus outbreak, Sony isn’t even attending E3, it’s better for game companies to announce their new consoles online!

This year’s show was going to be rammed with “influencers”, glad it’s cancelled.

Also glad that the good guys of the industry, Devolver, were the ones to warn us of the cancellation and I am looking forward to their new game Fall Guys.

E3 is nothing like it used to be and with so many devs as well as publishers pulling out, including both Nintendo and Sony, it has become mere shadow of its former glory. Also with live streaming, it has become almost pointless. It sort of sad really, especially if you remember the glory days and even more if you were lucky enough to experience it.

I wonder if actors / comic artists will start canceling their appearances at conventions. I can see comic con canceling based on the thousands of people that go there.

Isn't E3 sort of outdated? Every few months Nintendo has a direct. Not to mention that Sega plans on doing a direct next month due to CV. So more companies having streams of their shows will become the norm.
