He did!! She went on to win. Her best performance was a tribute song to the Ukrainian people. She sang a song in english it is, 'The War That Is Not Yours' it is an emotional performance. You should watch it. She wears a white dress that they have burned some spots to give it more realism.
Because Daneliya is able to communicate the raw emotion of the songs she sings, someone asked her how she did that. Daneliya said, 'I go into my heart and mind and find where the song is true, then I sing it'. A pretty profound statement for a 10 year old. She has gotten better, a lot better. However, there is no song that she does that is not perfect in my mind. There is an offering that has her sing the song, 'Smile' two years apart. The performances are both live, and they are sublime.
