If you buy via the internet from a place like Discount Tire or Tire Rack you can have them shipped directly to your installer/shop. No need for mail service. You could have ordered directly from Discount Tire’s website and had them shipped to the shop you used.

About a decade and a half ago, actually closer to two decades :), I was driving a road trip from AZ up to WA for a friend's wedding. On the way back, on the outskirts of Sacramento, I had a blowout while I was in the left lane of I5 in heavy traffic. I was able to pull onto leftside shoulder without incident, but now we were stuck on the wrong side of heavy traffic. Luckily, at that spot there was a very wide shoulder, so we were relatively safe, but my spare, full at the beginning of the trip, was flat also. We used the first cell phone we had ever owned (my wife bought just before this trip, kinda for the trip) to call American Tire (Discount Tire in NV and AZ). The manager actually, processed our purchase over the phone, loaded two new tires, mounted on inexpensive rims until I could get them switched to my good rims, in his personal vehicle, drove out to where we were on the interstate, and hand delivered the tires so I could change the blown tire and have a spare for future use. I have used Discount/American Tires ever since.

Speaking as a former rural route mail carrier never buy cheap tires and always buy a complete matching set when possible. The more ply the thicker and better quality the tire. This time it pays to spend more.

Don't forget to re-torque after first 50-100 miles!
Ordered tires for my Smart Car on Amazon as fronts and backs two different - and somewhat uncommon - sizes. It's a good idea.

It's actually hard to find good quality tires, I recently bought big name brand tires and they aren't lasting, and I have proper air pressure and a good alignment, looks great and it looks like you made a good choice Bob, great video 👍.

Here in the KC Mo area, I've bought several tires from Tredz Central. I literally meet the truck at the Flying J truck stop out by the dumpster to pick up the tires. Ha. I call it a drug deal gone bad!! Anyway I've used them for the hard to find sizes of farm implement tires. During Covid my regular tire guy was having trouble ordering stuff for all my "vintage" grain trucks that I still use, and that's when I found these guys. Ya know Bob is a real man now. Only men get excited when they put new skins on their trucks!! Ha!!

Here in Dearborn MI. Discount Tires is the absolute golden brio of Tire purchases. The employees are friendly and professional the service is outstanding. If they don’t have what you’re looking for they will get it within a few days. Love those guys not to mention the price is unbeatable.

Tires are expensive to ship. Walmart ships free to their stores. Ship to nearby street with free tire mounting. Works for me.

Good information, many times I've been told that the tires (that I confirmed were in stock before going to the tire center) that I wanted were like BAM outta stock, Buuut, fear not we have these that are triple the price of the ones that you wanted and will put them on right this minute! Good morning Bob. Year before last I bought Mastercraft tires for our shuttle bus "Serenity", from a local tire shop. Made in the same factory as Cooper's. Sister company I guess. Considerably cheaper, after 14K miles I'm happy with them. Roll on, you Manly Man !!

Had a little Winnebago brave 18' had flat on one duel. Apparently there is a notch or something that's important you line tire up with. Long story shorter, heard a rattling about same time a car pulled up long side pointing to back tires. Pulled over had one lugnut holding tire on at an angle.
Crept slowly to closed garage, spent the weekend in a very small town in Kansas while waiting on lugnuts and something else they needed.

So happy I had brand new beefy tires on my Sprinter when I bought it. These roads out here in the desert ( BLM land near Quartzsite ) are brutal !
