He played for the Mets, Yankees, Dodgers, and Giants. Technically all the Historic New York ball clubs.

Darryl Strawberry’s swing was something else! The torque and sheer power he got a hold of one is crazy! He was a great teammate ready to throw-down when benches cleared!

I am a Yank fan but i went a few times to Shea to watch Darryl hit and Gooden pitch in their prime. 2 of the greatest talents I ever saw!

Straw hit the longest homer I ever saw at Camden Yards...Yanks Orioles. Left center about 40 feet high off the back at the time ivy covered wall. Love you Straw!!!

Nice to see DS doing good after a long time. I remember that time he was diagnosed with colon cancer and he came back strong💪👍

I met Mr.Strawberry when he first signed with the Yankees. Very nice man, could see his head over the Suburban suv. People didn't realize how tall he really is.

First game I ever went to Darryl hit a walkoff for his 300th career HR. Way back in 1996. I'll never forget it.

Straw also played for the Giants - so all 4 present and past NY teams.

4:04 Well if we're going to be realistic about it Ohtani was closer to 60/60 than 50/50.

When I first started watching baseball in the mid 80s, Strawberry’s batting style first caught my attention; the way he cranked his bat forward and seemed to launch the ball beautifully when hitting it deep.

I loved you guys brought up Darryl Strawberry, really nice to see the stars from our good 80s back into action. Thanks

Dodgers are the underdogs!! They have more injured players (pitchers!!) but I believe they can beat the Yanks!!!

It was a great time to be a Met fan when he played for them. I lived/worked in NYC in the mid /late 80’s. Then had season tickets to NY Yankees when he joined that great team. You were always on the edge of your seat when he was in the batters box…then out of your seat when he hit it out of the ball park.

Dodger fan here, both teams are evenly matched, it comes down to who comes up with the big hit, look at there season stats, very close

Great player, I was in the parking lot when they won the World Series in 1986 . I was a Chauffeur part time over the Weekend and had to drive a wealthy Man to Shea Stadium 🏟 and wait for him to come out later . He also dined there before the game. So I was there quite a few hours. When they finally won the crowd was yelling so loud it sounded like an Earthquake or an explosion Amazing Performance and Finish as I was listening on the Radio.
