5 March 2019, Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, String Theory Tour

Gig 4/4 last night of my String Theory tour and lord were we spoiled rotten with this unique treat from the guys.

Since the announcement of this milestone event for our little indie band we all hoped they would reenact their famous harmonic 1997 a cappella performance of ‘MMMBop’ under the natural acoustics of the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall architecture. I’d be surprised if they didn’t film exactly that for Members Only content later, but as the single only encore on this incredibly special world tour they instead performed my absolute favourite cover tribute they’ve ever done, ‘Too Much Heaven’ by the BeeGees.

I’ve always envied their microphone-free concert hall acoustics a cappella performances of other songs over time around the world on YouTube so to get to hear this song at this venue on this epic symphonic tour with my own two ears in the most incredible seats I could have asked for, it’s no exaggeration to say that this is now my most treasured memory and possession. I just wish the video could do it justice.

60 year old former stage performer /band front man here. Wow. That's simply incredible. The blend, the intonation, the flawless modulations....i mean, cmon. That's seriously.genious stuff. I'm embarrassed that in their (and my) youth, I gave them a hard time. These guys are brilliant.

It’s so sad that these guys got lumped in with boy bands. These guys are actual musicians. They just happened to be young and cute. They don’t get nearly enough respect

As a singer I wanna say how stupid hard that is. All the transitions, all the stops and starts locked and forget modulating in a music vacuum. Never knew too much about Hanson....only because it wasn't my thing. But talent (and a crap ton of hard work!) will always shine. And these guys are amazing! Peace...

Great performance. Kudos to the audience for not saying a peep during it and respecting the moment.

Singer myself, and damn, this is impressive . Got the pitch from that single piano note before he walks over, they stay locked in tempo wise, nail the harmonies AND 2 modulations . I remember when these cats came out and all the guff they got, but me and my jaded musicians friends all said "That's one catchy, well written song . These kids are legit." I am glad they stayed active all this time and still have enough draw to do shows like this, they deserve it. That's nothing but hard work and talent up there.

I never understood why people went crazy with the Jonas Brother, when the Hansons are a trio that not only are Handsome but also have a real talent for creating and playing good music.

I respect all kinds or singing groups. However, when you can unplug the gear and still perform without mics, amps, autotune, or additional background singers, I have a higher respect for you as an artist. Well done, gentlemen! 🎙🎙🎙👑👑👑🔥🔥🔥👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Incredible version. Love that they recognized The Bee Gees as the original “3 brothers”

A song written by one brother band and brought back by another. This is beautiful. The BeeGees and Hansen are totally my guilty pleasures. Both are criminally underrated.

2 modulations. Perfect 3-part harmony. A cappella. Holy god these guys are so freaking good.

Suddenly my 34 year old self wants to put their faces all over my walls, pillow case and coffee mug again 😂

Wow! They do have talent. It takes balls to do a cappella, and a Bee Gees' tune to boot. Well done.

I don't think they get enough credit for how good of singers they are

Me: Nobody can ever do justice to the Bee Gees, not in a million....
* WATCHED THIS *
Me: Imma shut my big mouth now...
If Barry Gibb has watched this, I will tell him that he and his brothers have not only altered the course of music history, but also have heavily influenced the next generation. These guys didn't imitate, as most other artists try to do, instead, they honored.

I’m so glad I started recording as soon as the bows started, thrilled to have captured the whole lot!

WOW... when singers do acapella this beautifully you know you should be appreciating & respecting their vocals way more. TY Hanson Brothers.

First time I heard these guys I was 30 years old. I’m 57 now and still a fan. They have consistently put out good music.
