The comments used 2 diode,2 capacitors 100uf 16v

That is not going to work...u need strong alternative current to have at least 3 to 4 volt...harvest it from the power cable using a coil and see what i meant

Ha Ha...You have dropped 1.4V by using Silicon diodes...and DMM shows ghost voltage, not the real...can you shaw the readings with a analog meter and a load.
