@ The Prepared Adventist, As Catholics, we say the Nicene Creed from the third century at every Mass. It is a statement of faith for us. As you know, many heresies sprung up in the first centuries of the church. The Nicene Creed was promulgated to deal with these heresies that were not present when the Apostles Creed was formed. Statements in the Creed such as " for us men and our salvation, He came down from heaven " have deep theological meaning. Much fuller than the mere wording implies. Also as a result of the Council of Nicea, the Arian bishops who didn't believe in Christ's divinity were removed. Thanks for reading the Creed. I enjoyed it and I didn't know if Adventists believed in the Creed or not.
