Missing The Mark: HTC U12 Plus | Trusted Reviews

The camera is great - and the audio is great. But everything else? Not so much. The haptic buttons, for example, are really a pain to use and Edge Sense doesn’t work as you’d expect 100% of the time. Add in a disappointing battery life, a sub-par version of Android and no wireless charging, and the HTC U12 Plus is just a bit... meh.

Every reviewer loves one plus 6 for its price despite all those security concers. Every reviewer hates the HTC u12+ because of its buttons.

HDR Boost its just enables if you set the HDR I'm Auto.
If you activate HDR On, you get those shutter lag. And it's taking the photo on regular HDR, not HDR Boost...
On HDR auto, the image processing is made on the background so you won't see the shutter lag...

the U11 beat S8 PLUS in battery (yes the U11 and not even the U11 plus). It's very VERY unlikely that this phone has an average battery life.
Hating on HTC for the stupidest reasons has become pretty common now. The U11 was a fantastic phone and was better than the S8 in virtually every way except that it didn't have a modern display and everyone hated the phone just because of that... didn't matter how good the camera was or how good the speakers or how good the battery life or how novel the edge sense or how fast the UI was compared to the others or how unique the glass back or how good the included earbuds were!!! It didn't have a tall display!!!!
Here it's the same thing... if the buttons are so bad then JUST USE THE SQUEEZE AS THE POWER BUTTON!!! I did this with my U11 even though it had a mechanical button just because how much easier it was than pressing a tiny button! Yes the software could use a bit of a redesign but the hardware still looks better than every other glass phone (well except twilight p20!). It's still the most unique looking glass back on a phone and while I think their metal phones were much prettier, they're still king in design.
So yeah, bottom line: forget about the speakers and cameras and battery and blazing fast UI and fast updates and unique design and live bokeh and video bokeh and sound focus and included active noise cancelling earbuds and great battery and a perfectly visible display with natural colors... them buttons is enough to show the middle finger to this phone.

Horrible review! This guy must be an IPhone X fan boy. Stick to Apple and stay away from Android. Straight biased review.

Wow...immediately "star'in the revieeww" with bashing the phone? That's just bad form. It's much more palatable to start a review with positives and, then, get to the negatives. Unless, of course, you absolutely hate the subject of your review or just have an agenda to get to. Here's to hoping HTC fixes the button issue, since it seems to relegate the phone to just a lil' pile of garbage, otherwise.

Htc does provide fast updates and it will directly upgrade to android 9.0. Infact HTC has always been one of the fastest manufacturers to provide updates to new android versions. The only problem i have their UI is that it looks very bland now and they need to update the looks and the animations. Other than that, Good review.

When the phone is thin, they will complain that the battery is small.
When the phone has considerable battery, they will complain that the phone is too thick...
The UI is one of the most optimized in the Android Platform. As fluid and smooth as Oxygen OS. And he forgot to say that the UI is fully customisable, without losing fluidity...
And in terms of Updates, HTC U11 for Android Oreo 3-4 months before the Samsung Galaxy S8, LG, Huawei...
Battery it will improve, still running the first firmware...
This review is really bad, as bad as de reviwer... So biased...
