I am using my icom ic 705 as a qrp portable as well as a base radio connected to a modified Sailor marine amplifier. 3 watts from the radio gives 200 watts out on all ham bands.

That G90 radio runs upward of $500! Compare that with a QMX or QMX+ that you can build yourself? QMX radios run $102 or $125 depending on the model and the QRP radios are very good quality, considering they are 5 watts...
