Trish, as a mom of two, my children both started swimming lessons before the age of one. Now that they are older they are both phenomenal swimmers. It’s SO important for children to learn to swim, this especially so when you have a pool. You want Malibu to be safe and know what to do should she ever fall into water. Look into having an instructor come to your pool for lessons. You will also have peace of mind if Malibu is safe around water.

My 8 month old started swim lessons at 6 months old & it has been amazing! Def recommend at least taking her into the pool. It’s really good for them & their development

I took my niece to swim lessons when she was under a year old. It’s great stimulation for them, and to break any fear early. It’s also great bonding for you and the baby 🤍

I’ve been a D1 swimmer for 5 years- my advice: it’s never too early to start. Swim safety is so important. It affects everyone. Try to get Malibu into lessons as soon as you feel ready and comfortable!

Also, try to get an actual swimmer to teach her. Swimmers know how to teach proper swimming stroke technique along with life saving skills. They understand the water, and it will be worth your time way more than a non swimmer teaching. Hope this helps. Much love 💕
